Robert filmed collaborated with the specialist photography on the series including filming chloroplasts with microscopy techniques including focus stacking timelapses, bladderwort timelapses and high speed prey sequences with the bladderworts.

Focus stacking timelapses are now much easier thanks to the speed of the newer Nikon mirrorless camera bodies and post processing with Serenity App, which was designed by Robert for processing timelapse sequences for Welcome to Earth, Tiny World and The Green Planet among other films.
