After studying biology Robert’s creativity led him to turn his passion for photography and the natural world into a full time career. Now 15 years on he is an established Director of Photography with an impressive body of work across both natural history and documentary film-making and photography.
Collaborating with the best storytellers and brands his flair for the artistic combined his technical expertise in specialist photography, from macro to motion control, have won him four BAFTA nominations and lead to a lifetime of travel and exploration; from bustling city streets to the isolation of the polar regions; from the top of the tallest building on earth to 1km below the Pacific ocean.

The Studio
New for 2022 is a brand new studio available to hire with the latest equipment for live action and timelapse filming.
Packed with everything from the latest LED fibre optics lights and motion control gantry to ArtNet DMX the space is an open-plan studio floor with a high 6m grid in a new efficient building running off renewable energy.
The space is available to hire with Robert as DOP or as a dry-hire.

Time Ghost
Introducing a new motion controller for plant growth timelapses. Designed and engineered during lockdown. Four prototype controllers are now being tested in the studio.
Aimed at studio timelapse filming and especially to meet the demands of plant based timelapse, Time Ghost is a new motion controller to allow local control of cameras centrally, be that in the same studio or anywhere with an internet connection.
Time Ghost is designed from the ground up to support eMotimo’s St4, TB3 as well as Dragonframe.
